Zeitgeist Addendum

Most controversial documentary Zeitgeist, The Movie which is distributed freely on the internet continues with a sequel. There are no conspiracy theories about 9/11 this time or they don't claim the government will control us implanting chips into our brains as in the first episode. Zeitgeist Addendum is suggesting that we must eliminate all monetary systems to save our world. It sounds nice but how can that be possible?

The solution is The Venus Project!

Screen Cap:

P.S. I don't support Jacque Fresco's The Venus Project. This is a reallyridiculous utopic/spiritual science-fiction fantasy. They want to free you under a monopoly! Also to create a world without money, you should buy their merchandise! Oh, that is the logic!

I release this video because just I want you to see everything with your own eyes.

Constantine's Sword (2008)

In an empire united under the Cross, Jews were now in danger. The Church fathers decided the Jews should wander in misery forever without a home. The Roman empire fell despite it embraced Christianity. The Western world descended into chaos that lasted for six centuries. Then the Pope cried "God wills it", calling for a crusade, a war of the Cross against Islam."

James Carroll, a former Catholic priest, looks at the bad side of Christianity from Constantine the Great to the U.S Air Force Academy.

I suppose James Carroll is still a theist, he claims that Christianity turned violent after Constantine, and the documentary is not about fighting against Christianity, but is a good source to see the bad influence of Catholicism through history and the indoctrination of the evangelist movement among the Air Force Academy today.

The most touching moment of the film is that Carroll reveals Edith Stein's letter for the first time. Edith Stein was a brilliant young Jewish philosopher who converted to Catholicism in 1922. She wrote a letter to Pope Pius XII for protection from the Nazis, but got no answer. That Pope was the one who called "Hitler's Cardinal".

Bertrand Russell - Collected Works and Essays

"The whole conception of God is a conception derived from the ancient Oriental despotisms. It is a conception quite unworthy of free men. When you hear people in church debasing themselves and saying that they are miserable sinners, and all the rest of it, it seems contemptible and not worthy of self- respecting human beings. (...) A good world needs knowledge, kindliness, and courage; it does not need a regretful hankering after the past or a fettering of the free intelligence by the words uttered long ago by ignorant men." The quote by Bertrand Russell

27 essays and articles on different subjects such as "Why I am not a Christian" and "Is there a God?" by Bertrand Russell.

The Age of American Unreason - Susan Jacoby

Identifying herself as a "cultural conservationist" (but by no means a cultural conservative), Jacoby laments the decline of middlebrow American culture and presents a cogent defense of intellectualism. America, she believes, faces a "crisis of memory and knowledge," in which anti-intellectualism is not only tolerated but celebrated by those in politics and the media to whom we are all "just folks." The Internet, for all its promise, is too often "a highway to the far-flung regions of junk thought." Meanwhile, twenty-five per cent of high-school biology teachers believe that human beings and dinosaurs shared the earth, and more than a third of Americans can’t name a single First Amendment right. In such an environment, Jacoby argues, the secular left and the religious right can have no fruitful dialogue on issues like the separation of church and state. She offers little hope that the situation will improve, opining that, despite increasing levels of education, "Americans seem to know less and less." The New Yorker

The Shock Doctrine - Naomi Klein

"Impassioned, hugely informative, wonderfully controversial, and scary as hell" John Le Carré

Naomi Klein's The Shock Doctrine advances a truly unnerving argument: historically, while people were reeling from natural disasters, wars and economic upheavals, savvy politicians and industry leaders nefariously implemented policies that would never have passed during less muddled times. As Klein demonstrates, this reprehensible game of bait-and-switch isn't just some relic from the bad old days. It's alive and well in contemporary society, and coming soon to a disaster area near you.

"At the most chaotic juncture in Iraq'' civil war, a new law is unveiled that will allow Shell and BP to claim the country's vast oil reserves… Immediately following September 11, the Bush Administration quietly outsources the running of the 'War on Terror' to Halliburton and Blackwater… After a tsunami wipes out the coasts of Southeast Asia, the pristine beaches are auctioned off to tourist resorts… New Orleans residents, scattered from Hurricane Katrina, discover that their public housing, hospitals and schools will never be re-opened." Klein not only kicks butt, she names names, notably economist Milton Friedman and his radical Chicago School of the 1950s and 60s which she notes "produced many of the leading neo-conservative and neo-liberal thinkers whose influence is still profound in Washington today." Stand up and take a bow, Donald Rumsfeld. Amazon

Ayaan Hirsi Ali was born in Somalia, raised Muslim and came to the Netherlands as a refugee due to an unwanted marriage. After earning her collage degree in political science, she worked for a labour party. Reading The Atheist Manifesto (Atheistisch Manifest) by philosopher Herman Philipse and the Quran pushed her to renounce Islam and become atheist. Now she is a controversial political figure who is against Islamic culture.

This is her astonishing story.

God and the State - Mikhail Bakunin

No, he is not the bad guy from Lost.

Real Bakunin, the Russian anarchist, anti-theologist and the writer of this famous phrase: "If God really existed, it would be necessary to abolish Him."

I hope you like his highly intellectual work God and the State.

[...]

"The Bible, which is a very interesting and here and there very profound book when considered as one of the oldest surviving manifestations of human wisdom and fancy, expresses this truth very naively in its myth of original sin. Jehovah, who of all thegood gods adored by men was certainly the most jealous, the most vain, the most ferocious, the most unjust, the most bloodthirsty, the most despotic, and the most hostile to human dignity and liberty-Jehovah had just created Adam and Eve, to satisfy we know not what caprice; no doubt to while away his time, which must weigh heavy on his hands in his eternal egoistic solitude, or that he might have some new slaves. He generously placed at their disposal the whole earth, with all its fruits and animals, and set but a single limit to this complete enjoyment. He expressly forbade them from touching the fruit of the tree of knowledge. He wished, therefore, that man, destitute of all understanding of himself, should remain an eternal beast, ever on all-fours before the eternal God, his creator and his master. But here steps in Satan, the eternal rebel, the first freethinker and the emancipator of worlds. He makes man ashamed of his bestial ignorance and obedience; he emancipates him, stampsupon his brow the seal of liberty and humanity, in urging him to disobey and eat of the fruit of knowledge."
